Stayed in sch till 9pm for Msm class on Tuesday and J gave me a lift home as she was going back to her office to get some things done. Called home to asked if anybody wanted prata from the nearby shop.. and Ar tld me 4th granduncle just passed away. What sad news... haiz. Ever since grampa passed away in yr 2004, his 2 brothers also left with him consecutively in yr 2005 and now yr 2006.

Life is just so fragile... I have never thought of how I shld go abt living my life until grampa's death... his death sort of shook me up from my dreams. Until now when my wai po also left me last yr, then I only realised that how much isit I cherished those who lived with me.. My gramma is 90/91 yrs old this yr... Thus, I'm always convincing myself she's gona lived for many yrs since she is still quite fit now. But den, the death of 4th granduncle has proven me quite wrong. 4th granduncle had been known for his gd health... he's always been travelling almost every yr back to his home town Guang Zhou to celebrate Chinese New Yr. Only recently he has been admitted hospital several times for his heart problems. But from what I heard during the funeral, my 4th granduncle was still joking happily with his grandson on that very fateful morning. And it was during the late evening that he suddenly felt unwell... the ambulance came only 30mins later, and he passed away on the way to the hospital.. they couldn't revive him.

Looking at him... it reminded us of my late grampa. 4th granduncle really somehow or another, looked like grampa. Yes, there is no doubt they were brothers... but 4th granduncle somewhat didnt look like himself... but like grampa! Maybe we're just letting our imaginations run wild... but the resemblance was uncanny.

U know, sometimes this kinda stuff is just so unexplanable... I just don't know how to go abt explaning it.

Before I could leave my hse yesterday to head to sch, daddy told me my mom's god brother passed away too. I really hate to receive such news... especially when its near my exam time, be it just the prilims or the final exam. I really hate it... This is the father of my cousin who just got married recently. She was the one who had her marriage held at Fullerton... See... how brittle is life. Heard from mom that he passed away from heart problems too. And the sad part was his heart problems hasn't been a problem for many yrs already, and it just acted up like that all of a sudden.

I was told my cousin was hoping mad, jumping and crying... scolding those who were trying to convince her that her father has passed away. I think its really hard on her family. My this uncle has only 1 daughter... and she only just got married. And the worse of all... she's only in her late twenties... How bad can u imagine its for her?

I'm always thinking how whld react if I were to be in ppl's shoes... I don't have any sister... and usually for this kinda stuff, guys don't always show how sad they are on the outside. they'll only feel very sad on the inside.

I don't want to live my life full of regrets... sometimes there are just somethings I can't let go.. Nevermind that I can put it aside for moments that I am happy... But whenever I'm sad or simply just stressed, these memories just resurfaced very quickly...

I think I ain't the only person who feel this way... but yet sometimes I feel that I am the only perosn who feel this way. How weird...

I've looked through all the photos I took in Korea and wondered why I look so ugly in many of them.. sianz. Lolz.. I think I still look ok at the airport.. But as days passed, I look iglier and uglier. Of coz u all will disagree with me.. tts becoz I refused to upload those photos with me looking ugly in them. hahha...

1 person 1luggage... so in total there were 3...

Hey ppl... wat does these 2 statue remind u off? The tour guide told us the folks over at Jeju Island touch these 2 statues when a woman in their home is pregnant. So indeed they want the woman to give birth to a son...If I didnt remember wrongly by touching the statue on the rite represent that u want your future son to be gd in his studies... i.e a scholar, and the statue on the left represent that u want your future son to be gd in other areas like i.e to be a policeman, a civil defence officer. Aiya.. I duno how to explain la..!

These are trees as u can see... they look like autumn leaves and dried flowers. Beautiful aren't they? I can consider going to these countries with 4 season during autumn, spring and summer. Frankly speaking, spending a wk over at korea during their winter season left me feeling kinda blue. Mood swing??

I took a picture of this carasoul at Lotte World. I really think it is beautiful... (I'm jealous of Hui's present!! -_- ) Anyway, I didnt had a chance to sit this...we weren't given enough time..no time... no time la...!!

We stayed in this hotel on the very last nitw.. I lurv their toilet! So big!!! The toilet only has 2 doors to keep it closed and mind u, there is still a gap inbtw the toilet doors even when u close it shut. haaha...

And on the left hand side of the toilet is a bath tub... But pity I didnt shower in there. lolz...

On the rite side of the toilet is the toilet seat and also a shower stand. Cool huh? okies la, I'm always amazed and fascinated by big toilets. Lolz.. Don't think I can tell u all which hotel is this, but I can tell u personally la. A hint... it starts with a letter 'M'..... money?? Lolz.

Yes.. I was trying very hard to open my eyes. But the sun was shining in my direction, the relfection from the snow also made it hard for me to open my small eyes. -_- haahaha...

Behind me was the steeper slopes meant for the pro-er skiiers and snowboarders. They're all so darn cool manz!

Hows me in my ski suit? I look pro rite? Lolz...
Tts my mom, me and Ar.

This picture was taken in a stidio where we also learned to make kimchi. I was at 1st given a pink dress, but becoz i had too many layers of clothing, i couldn't arms couldn't quite fit into it. So in the end i had to take away my wool sweater. But this red and green one looks nice ya? But I duno why we were asked to wear the hat... I don't rem the actress in Da Chang Jin wearing one. hehhe...

Sorry Je... I really didn't see any shops selling these tradtional costumes. This studio only rent their costumes, they don't sell it. The places they brought us to all sold winter wear...

How do I look? U know.. the funny part abt the aunties in our tour grp is that they all thought I was around 16/17 yrs of age. Do I really look tt young? 1 auntie tot I was in sec 4! While the other one tot I was in poly... faintzz..

My mom and I are now standin infront of the Korean presidential house. The security is very tight. We were told we can only use cameras, no video filming was allowed.

Look at the picture, can u see 2 big protruding eyes on the rite side of the mountain at the back?

We are standing on a bridge at Lotte World... Beautiful isin't?

LOOK LOOK!!! Its snowing!! Lolz... Look carefully and u can see the snow flakes on our head. Luckily for us, it started snowing on the very last day when we were due to return to S'pore. I looked a little pale in this picture coz I wasn't feeling very well...puked in the morning after drinking the soya bean milk. Aint Sh's eyes big? Haaha... Bro..ur really lucky!! =)

I didnt realise it started snowing until the kids in the bus were screaming their heads off. Coz i was resting on the bus after taking the vomit and panadols. At 1st when i stared out of the window... I really tot it was raining. The snow flakes became waterdroplets once it touched the bus windows. I went down the bus to take a better look. Can u see the snowflakes around me?? =)

Now presenting the long awaited photos of my Korea trip.. TADAAA!!!

We took this picture near the sea as u can see.. It was freaking cold, and the sea breeze made things worse.. the breeze blew straight into our faces. Guess how many layers I was wearing?? Lolz...

Tts me, Aaron, mom and bro's gf (Shumei)..

Hahha.. I looked a little dishevelled in this picture rite? Superb ugly... But I loved the background. Temperature hit a minimum of -8degrees in the nite, can't help but to look like this. Besides... I didn't slap on powder on my face.. which i kinda regretted. It may look nicer.. But in winter time, it is too dry to put powder coz the powder may dry up and cake on the face. =(

I guess it used to be a waterfall in the background, but the it froze during winter time.. hence explaining the frozen water on the rocks. BbRrr... freezing!!

This picture was taken on the day we went skiing at nxt to Vivaldi Ski resort (tts whr we were stayed). It is snow u see on our rite hand side and at the back is mountains. Pretty isin't? But the temperature forced us to put on our winter caps, which i tot it made me look silly. It looked great on Sh, Ar and mom.

I pursuaded my elder bro alvin totake this picture for me. I was very 'bu fu qi' coz I was too clumsy.. couldn't climb onto this big heap of snow. They were laughing at me, mom and Sh tried giving me a helping hand, but I still slipped and fell so many times until i gave up. Lolz... Pls pardon the reflecting badge on the wind breaker.

Hey everybody! Yapz.. I'm back from Korea already. Actually I've already came back last Friday.. but had been too tired and lazy to blog abt my trip. Well, it was nice to see it snowing, but only for a short period of time. To be frank, I didnt really enjoyed my this trip to Korea.. becoz of several reasons:

1)it was darn cold... esp the day before it snowed.. it was practically FREEZING!
2)my younger bro keep irritating me, and I also quarrelled with my elder bro over some petty little things =(
3)on the very day tt we were suppose to fly back to s'pore, I puke in the morning.. haizz...
4)we had to board the plane 4 times within 8 days of the trip..and this really made me superb tiring
5)everything was very rush..we had to wake up at 5+/6am (s'pore time) almost everyday
6)despite having the ticket tt allowed us to each enjoy 5 rides at the theme parks, we weren't given enough time to sit all 5!
7)the queues at the theme parks were so long.. despite the weather.. snorezz
8)we had pork most of the lunch and dinners.. and I'm quite sick of meat now, pls don't ask me to eat red meat!

But despite all these stupid little things tt made me sulk and frown.. I still did enjoy little tiny whiney parts of the journey.. like:

1)getting to watch movies on board the plane like Mr Bean, Must love dogs, Fantastic 4, The Interpreter..blah blah
2)we went to spa valley.. (I did a full body scrub, it was suppose to be a little painful, but I ended giggling and trying my best to stifle my laughter.. it was darn itchy..
3)my bros, my mom and bro's gf decided to go for the ride at Lotte World called 'Gyro Swing'.. it was superb fun... felt like I was gona thrown into the ice cold river.. for another moment, I tot I was jumping off the building. Hahha.. exciting isin't?
4)I get to eat ice cream almost everyday for the past 8 days there... it was shiok to eat ice cream in the cold weather
5)trying my best to speak Korean so as to impress the aunties there.. to gimme further discount. hahha
6)Oh ya, for the spa valley thingy, I also get to experience a different kind of spa.. having soak my body in hot water, while the top part is exposed to open cold air..
8)the last day we stayed at korea's Marriott Hotel.. I think so far it was the best hotel with ultra big toilet.. Lolz
9)pretending to be Korean, but was stunned and confused when they speak korean to me... I'm lost!

Anyway... It was such a wonderful experience la. But I duno why, perhaps it was the cold weather tt made me long for home. I was kinda home sick... silly isin't it? =)

Now it is Korean speaking lesson time..Lesson no1:

1) Auntie = Ah-zhu-ma
2) uncle = Ah-zao-si
3) gal/young lady = Ah-ga-shi
4) expensive = bi-sai-yo
5) how much? = er-zhu-ma
5) yes = yeah
6) no = ah-ni

muaahahaa... anyway, the stuff there in korea was quite expensive.. due to different cultures I must say. To us S'poreans, We regard food as being more impt. But to the Koreans, they regard fashion how you dress) as being more impt. It represents how you carry yourself.. and how you want others to respect you. Hence, the Koreans always dress very nicely despite even having to go to the nearby family mart for an errand. And also... the Korean gals have superb fair and nice skin! *Jealous jealous* *admire admire* haizz...

I shall post my pictures once I can find the time.. and the energy.. Lolz.
